-What’s the food scene like? Are there many restaurants? Is there a town favorite? My husband Swarthmore is a small town but there are plenty of options for food, from the local food coop to the local coffee shop, there is something for everyone . The local pizza joint, Renato’s has been a favorite for my family for years. My husband grew up in Swarthmore, eating at Renato with friends & now enjoys taking our children to his childhood hangout.

There are a wide variety of community events one of my favorites is fun for the whole family, the Food truckathon at the Swarthmore Coop. The Swarthmore Coop also plays host to a number of BBQ’s and quizzo once a month. Annually, Swarthmore hosts a charity fun fair, 4th of July parade & New Years Day 5k, just to name a few. The Swarthmore Community Center is located on Harvard Avenue in the Borough & is committed to helping the community through a variety of programs for individuals of all ages from infant playgroups to senior bridge, there is something for everyone.
